Livrevasion: 36 authors expected on April 2 and 3, in Arsac-en-Velay

A large number of fans of historical or local novels are expected for the 25th edition of Livrevasion. This literature fair has been bringing together authors from Haute-Loire and beyond since 1998. “This year, 36 authors responded to the invitation, rejoices Nathalie Rumberger, president of Au fil des pages, the organizing association. A third of the participants never came and all are waiting to resume contact with readers. »

A variety of genres

Altiligériens eagerly awaits local stars Albert Ducloz, Florence Roche, Jeanne-Marie Avit and even Pierre Présumey. But there is no doubt that this informed public will also be able to welcome Antonin Sabot, whose first novel, We Are the Thistles, received the Jean-Anglade Prize. And visitors will surely be delighted to discover Stéphane Fière and his fictional novel about the reception of Syrian refugees in Auvergne, The Countryside is Not a Garden.
“We strive to vary the genres by also offering rehearsals, emphasizes Nathalie Rumberger. We thus welcome Alain Caillé, sociologist and economist, author of If I were a candidate…”
Sports journalist Guy Roger will talk about his test on the bike in Colombia, Bernal and the children of the mountain range, during a “talk” on Sunday. “And he has many anecdotes to tell”, promises the president of Au fil des pages. The young public will also have the opportunity to meet the illustrator Pierre-Emmanuel Dequest, known locally for the book La Haute-Loire, land of stories. He will speak at the Arsac-en-Velay school on Friday and will be present at the show all weekend alongside children’s authors.
With this large list of guests, the Au fil des pages association hopes to reconnect with its public after two years of absence due to the health crisis. “I am quite confident, assures Nathalie Rumberger. I think there will be a lot of visitors, because we all want to read and get away from it all. »
Please note that a bookseller will be present on site to purchase the books and sign them.
