Lausanne, May 21, 2022 – Selected among the six works in competition, “Jours à Leontica” by Ticino author Fabio Andina wins the 35th edition of the RTS Audience Award. Intended to support Swiss authors, the award will be presented on September 3 in Morges during the next edition of Livre sur les Quais. This important Roman literary prize will change its formula in 2023.

For Patrick Ferla, president of the jury, the award “rewards a singular and poetic book. Ode to nature and slowly lengthen time, Days in Leontica illustrates the search for the little music of life“.

Fabio Andina puts us in the footsteps of Felice, a lonely nonagenarian who lives at the foot of a small village in the Ticino Alps, and who goes out every morning to walk in the mountains. A contemplative novel, but not monotonous, close to nature, which favors the senses. Written in melodious language, this is Fabio Andina’s second novel and the first translated into French. It appeared in Zoe.

The prize will be awarded on September 3 at 2:00 p.m., during the next edition of Livre sur les Quais, during a special live broadcast.

Fabio Andina will also be the guest of Forum This Saturday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m.

Endowed with CHF 10,000.-, the RTS Public Prize was launched in 1987 to support Swiss or Swiss-resident authors. It is awarded by a jury of 25 amateur readers who are part of the RTS audience.

Supporting literary creation, the RTS Audience Award promotes literature and demonstrates the passion for reading among listeners and viewers. Independent, this award also says the role of cultural actor played for decades by the public service

In 2023, the Audience Award is reviewing its organization and its calendar, now it will be delivered at the end of the year, that is, in November 2023, during a public event organized by the RTS.
